3000 - CCLR 16(4)(b): 3000 - CCLR 16(4)(b) Observed that the blue slide on the Little Tikes cube had a crack that measured 8" on the top leading edge of the slide. Licensee stated that the slide would be removed from use immediately.
Corrective Actions: Ensure that all outdoor play materials accessible to children are safely constructed, free from hazards, and in good repair. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
3000 - CCLR 17: 3000 - CCLR 17 In the outdoor designated fenced play area, observed the following: a cigarette butt on the grass immediately outside the back door into the play area, a broken board off a cedar fence panel was laying on the grass adjacent to the fence had several rusty nails protruding upwards, and dog excrement had not been cleaned up. The Licensee removed these items from the yard during the inspection. The Licensee stated that no family members who reside at the premise smoked, and that the cigarette butt was likely from a recent visitor to the premise.
Corrective Actions: Ensure that children do not have access to any objects or substances that may be hazardous to their health or safety. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
3000 - CCLR 23(2): 3000 - CCLR 23(2) Reviewed contents of both the small orange first aid kit and the large orange first aid backpack. Observed that the combined contents did not contain sufficient quantities of items recommended on the INFO Sheet "Suggested First Aid Supplies for Child Care Facilities" for the category of care; and, that the off-site emergency records did not contain photos of the enrolled children nor were they current with information in their registration records.
Corrective Actions: Ensure that current and complete first aid kits are readily accessible to employees including when care is provided off-site. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Entanglement): 3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Entanglement) Observed that the blue slide on the Little Tikes cube had an entanglement hazard on the top left side. Licensee stated that the slide would be removed from use immediately.
Corrective Actions: Ensure that equipment is free of entanglement hazards in areas of uncontrolled motion. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
3010 - CCLR 22(2)(b): 3010 - CCLR 22(2)(b) Reviewed fire drill records for past twelve months since last Routine Inspection and observed the following: the last fire drill was practiced in June 2019, the facility was closed in July 2019, and no fire drill was practiced in August 2019.
Corrective Actions: Ensure that fire drills are practiced monthly. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
